Welcome to the new website!

My name is Kim and I am the photographer behind KMunroe Photography.

I have dabbled in photography for at least 15 years but never pushed past hobby stage, until this year.

2017 was a mixed year - I married my best friend! Yet a month before, my dad was diagnosed with MND. We later lost my dad to this terrible brain disease in January 2018. This sent my siblings and myself into a very dark place - Dad was the leader of our family, the Man of the family - and now he was gone.

After over a year of struggling and soul searching I realised that we were not getting any younger - I needed to grab life whilst I could and follow my passion! Dad would be proud no matter what direction I took - he was always supportive of my art. So now was the time to follow my heart.

Then KMunroe Photography was born.

What still hurts me is that I don't have many photos of dad - I think I only have one relatively recent photo of Dad and myself. I dont want other families to lose these treasured memories and want to capture as many special moments as possible.

I also have two young children and I want to document their life as much as possible. What great things to look back on! Photos of life when they were young and playing games, pulling funny faces or dressing up!

Life is too short and we dont know what is around the corner.
